UPAA-NL Donates Computer Server to the UP Library

With the delivery and installation of this first of five servers in time for the main UP Centennial celebration of 21 June 2008, the first step towards fulfilling the UPAA-NL pledge to assist in the digitisation of the UP Library has been taken. The server donated is one (1) unit of Dell PowerEdge 1950 Rack Mount Server. UPAA-NL raised funds for the computer servers through various fundraising activities, such as the concert and benefit dinner “Patikim” held last September 2007, participation in the “Make a Difference Day 2007”, getting sponsors for the UPAA-NL participation in The Hague Inter-agency Bowling.
